Welcome Aboard
We are delighted to welcome Les Carson to the team as the new skipper of MV FlatHolm, our 24m survey vessel based in and working out of Lowestoft, Suffolk
Les brings a wealth of experience to the company having had over 30 years working offshore in a variety of industries. Having left school, he began his seafaring career in the fishing industry for a couple of years before moving into the oil industry working on oil rig support ships. He moved onto cargo ships travelling around Europe and to North Africa before working on dredgers, cruise ships and ferries. The latter part of Les’s career, prior to joining us, has largely been spent working in the towage industry carrying out both harbour and sea and coastal tows.
Les joins us to take over the management and operations of our survey vessel MV FlatHolm and has already successfully completed numerous vibrocoring campaigns with us in both UK and European waters.
As well as continuing our commitment to geotechnical and bathymetric operations, Les will be working to develop the offshore capabilities of the vessel to provide towage, standby, dive support, ships supplies, guard work, crew transfer and salvage throughout Northern Europe.
