We are currently looking to fill two positions within the company as we restructure, consolidate and build back after the impact of the last eighteen months of COVID and its impact on our particular area of operations. Geotechnical/Site Investigation Engineer


You need to have a relevant degree in Marine Geology / Earth Sciences / Oceanology and preferably some hands-on experience both in the office and onsite, although we are happy to train the right applicant.


You have to be energetic, positive, pro-active and ambitious. You will be working within a small team and will be fundamental in the growth and development of every aspect of the company’s activities. Experience of the marine environment through work, education or recreation will be advantageous but not essential


You will be expected to travel extensively both within the UK and abroad and must be flexible in accommodating the fluidity of projects and the challenges you will encounter, especially in the marine environment.

Senior Laboratory Technician / Laboratory Manager.

Plymouth


We are looking for an experienced senior laboratory technician / career step laboratory manager to take responsibility for undertaking basic geotechnical testing and soils logging within the company marine soils lab and to train and supervise a small team of graduate marine geologists in applied marine site investigation testing techniques


You will need relevant experience in sediment logging & reporting to BS 1377-2: 1990 and Eurocode Standards, be highly organised & flexible with an attention to detail & an ability to prioritise and have strong technical writing & IT skills, especially in Excel. You will need to possess strong social & communicative skills to engage and work in a small but growing enthusiastic team, be self-motivated and able to work under pressure, unsupervised and to meet client deadlines. Aspirations to grow the capabilities of the laboratory and develop new services with Clients will be encouraged
